POPC Prize Photos

So, I built my first light box, and to try it out I took photos of the prizes for the raffle. I think these are a bit better than the originals (although they look a little darker in this post than they should, hmmm) and now all of the prizes except the Zoya Guilty Pleasures Box and the Pahlish custom color are included.

And now for an improved look at (almost) all of the prizes! (The order of the prizes is further down in the post.)

This photo includes all of the prizes from the Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros. Collection, but please note that each bottle is a separate prize and this actually shows five of the prizes.

Dollish Polish Vampires Coven and Spectral Pup. These two combined are one prize, and there is also another bottle of Spectral Pup that is a prize on its own.

Dollish Polish's Deadly Nightshade

The Nail Junkie's Violet and Apple. Each of these colors is a prize on its own, but each comes with one Cutie Balm and one packet of the Nail Junkie's glitter wipes.
I hope everyone likes these photos. I need to get used to using a light box but I definitely like taking photos with so much less glare!

If you want to make a donation to sponsor me in the Long Island Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk and get some chances at winning one of those fabulous polishes, here is the information you need:

Polishing Off PC is open from now through 12am EST on October 14th.

This is open to residents or people with mailing addresses in the US and Canada only.

All donations for the raffle need to be made on my personal donation page on the Long Island Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk website. 100% of your donation goes to the Lustgarten Foundation, and 100% of that goes into pancreatic cancer research.

Each dollar donated counts as one raffle "ticket." The minimum donation on the website is $5.00, so you will start with five chances, but if you donate more the more chances you have!

In the dedication section, please be sure to select your name for "Recognition From," and please check off "Yes, I would like to show my donation amount scrolling." That is really important since it is how I will getting the information to keep track of everyone's "tickets." The prize winners will be chosen based on that information with, and the names of the winners will be announced on my blog.

You may wonder why this is so important to me. Three years ago we lost my aunt to pancreatic cancer. It all happened so quickly - she passed less than three months after the diagnosis. Unfortunately it seems that most cases are like that. The symptoms are so "quiet" that by the time the diagnosis is made the cancer is already in an advanced stage, and oftentimes when there are symptoms they're attributed to other illnesses. According to the Lustgarten Foundation's website, "Pancreatic cancer has no early warning signs, and there are no effective screening tests" and "In the United States, cancer of the pancreas is the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths in both men and women." That is why I am doing the Long Island Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk to raise money for The Lustgarten Foundation on October 14th.

But I need your help. Please, tell as many people as you know about this and ask them to pass it on too!

The order of the prizes as it stands now is:

$50: Spectral Pup (Dollish Polish) This goal has been met and SP is up for grabs!
$150: The Gilty Pleasures 18K Real Gold Nail Polish Topcoat Trio Gift Box (Zoya) (this is now sold out!)
